Poster (Customer) Guidelines

 

So that we can operate on this platform in an environment that is conducive to positive outcomes, we’ve put together some guidelines that reflect the environment we operate within. Adhering to a set of guidelines, fosters authenticity and promotes transparency so that everyone involved has a positive experience.

 

As we grow, these guidelines may be amended, yet, at the core, they will be here to help facilitate a reliable, safe and successful environment.

 

If, when using the platform, you are found to have breached a guideline, we may take action to remove any contents, offers, suspend or even permanently cancel your account.

 

Posting a Task Guidelines – Clear Scope, Time and Budget Required

The following include, but are not limited to, posting Task guidelines

  • To help Taskers know whether they have the skills and availability to complete your task, it’s important that your Task has a clear description, scope, time and budget. This will also help avoid any misunderstandings about expectations along the way.
      a.) Scope – the task description should clearly, and thoroughly, state what it is that you need to be done. Adding as much information as possible helps the Tasker understand expectations.
      b.) Time – mention clearly whether the Task can be completed on a specific day or are your flexible.
      c.) Budget – setting a fair price for the amount of time and effort required for the Task is crucial.
  • Tasks that are deceitful in nature are not allowed including, but not limited to, fake business reviews, social media likes
  • Academic activities and assignment-based Tasks are strictly prohibited. This includes but is not limited to completing an assignment, test or course on someone’s behalf. Additionally, academic assistance in the form of proofreading, editing, planning, structuring, referencing and giving feedback on someone else’s academic work is also not supported.
  • Quotes for work being done outside of the Task are not allowed
  • Tasks that require someone to be nude, topless or wear clothing like lingerie, swimwear and gym wear are not supported
  • Business advertisements are not supported
  • Regular full-time or part-time job recruitment is not supported
  • No alcohol related Tasks

Posting a Review Guidelines – Authenticity and Constructive Feedback

  1. A review should represent the genuine experience in relation to the Task
  2. A review should not be related to the Tasker’s religion, race or politics
  3. Discriminatory, threatening or obscene content will be removed
  4. Content that violates another person’s privacy rights will be removed
  5. Profanity or vulgar language is unacceptable

  1. Keeping your Private Information Private
    Private contact details or third-party links must not be shared in any areas on the platform until you have entered into the private Messaging Tool.  Private contact details include, but are not limited to, business websites, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, personal email, phone numbers, addresses or personal websites.

  2. The following Behaviours are Unacceptable and Will Not be Tolerated
    1. Comments or actions that involve hatred or violence
    2. Racist content or behaviour
    3. Aggressive behaviour including swearing, verbal threats, threatening language or actions in the form of violence
    4. Derogatory comments in the context of a personal attack or insult
    5. Actions or comments that are deemed harassment causing distress, this can include persistent disturbance, torment, intimidation or sexual
    6. Zero-tolerance policy for any illegal behaviours including, but not limited to, theft, vandalism and unlawful activity related to the use of drugs or weapons.
    7. Inappropriate tasks and comments that are deemed trolling
    8. Off-topic or inflammatory comments

  1. Restricting Task Activities, as defined below, will result in Immediate Removal of Task(s)

    1. Illegal acts are strictly prohibited either in the form of soliciting, inducing or encouraging illegal tasks or supporting scamming activities
    2. Tasks must not relate to weapons or unlawful activity, which may result in the furtherance of a crime.
    3. Any requests relating to drugs, including prescription drugs or drug paraphernalia are prohibited.
    4. Escort and adult services tasks are strictly prohibited. This includes tasks or comments which are obscene or sexually explicit in nature.
    5. Massage tasks are not supported.
    6. Tasks that ask someone to withdraw cash, buy gift cards or vouchers, buy or exchange any type of currency including cryptocurrency, or send money via methods like direct bank transfers or PayPal or any transactions that are similar in substance to any of the foregoing are strictly prohibited.

  1. Removing the Task off the Platform
     
    1. Taking the Task away from the Ziptasker platform is not supported. Every Tasker should have a fair opportunity to view Tasks
    2. It may seem like you’re saving the Poster money on fees, however it will prevent you from participating in a fair, transparent environment and may lead to your removal as a Tasker
    3. Repeatedly cancelled tasks may result in a poor star rating and impact your profile review ultimately leading to an account suspension or ban.

 

  1. Account Eligibility and Guidelines
     
    1. 18 years or older, proof of age may be requested
    2. Legal working rights in Canada. Legally entitled to perform Tasks and abiding to work laws for your profession/ service in the location where the Task is being performed.
    3. One single, active account on the Platform only. Any duplicate accounts will be removed.  A single account provides the ability to post tasks and make offers as a Tasker, a second account is not required
    4. Accounts and account details are non-transferrable between Users.
    5. Posters and Taskers are required to respond within a reasonable time frame if Ziptasker requests information. Failure to do so may result in a temporary suspension of the account.

  1. Ziptasker Profile and Review Standards
     
    1. Use your full real name
    2. Profile photo should be a clear front-on photo of a member’s face, so it’s easily recognisable to Posters
    3. Artificially improving profile photo is not supported
    4. Fraudulent or inflated Tasker reviews

  1. Unsupported Practices that will be Removed from Task Requests
     
    1. Tasks that require cold calling campaigns, email blasts, contacting key decision-makers, pre-qualifying them and introducing services to create lead generation are not supported
    2. No alcoholic beverages are to be bought and/ or sold as a Task
    3. Connection to, maintenance, repairs or alterations with any regulated utilities, cabling and other services that are governed by private organizations that bring services into your home or business are not permitted
